Staying at a eco-friendly cabin-in Big Bear, California

In late October, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this eco-friendly + intentional cabin in Big Bear!

I absolutely loved our stay and how Christine and Kyle put this place together with secondhand and vintage pieces. From what I have seen, not many places do that. So anytime I do get to stay in a place like this, I get so excited!

I didn’t just love the decor and aesthetic of the cabin, but also the fact that they had composting available. Anytime time I go to places while I travel or even camp, I lug around a compost container to bring back home. But here I didn’t have to do that! I was really happy about that :).

I also appreciated that they had reusables available for guests to use. From reusable water bottles and containers to reusable bags. And if for some reason you forget your toiletries, they have low waste options available too. Typically I pack all my low waste toiletries to avoid any single-use plastics, so I’m glad I would have been okay if I had forgotten an item.

For this stay we decided to stay at the cabin and just relax, watching movies by the fire and having coffee in the mornings :).

Charging station

If you happen to have an electric car or plug-in hybrid, there’s a charging station available for you to use!
